The Arta Cinema and its summer garden are among the oldest cinemas in Timisoara, having opened around 1926. The cinema is located in the beautiful Iosefin district and until 1948 it was called "Regal" Cinema. The building belonged to the industrialist Lajos Weisz. The cinema operated until the mid-1990s. In September the Cinema Arta opened for a few weeks to the public. Here Lights On-The Night-Art Festival took place | The light installation circuit. Light installations of the festival were also exhibited in other inner courtyards in Iosefin, Mocioni Square, Maria Square, but also at Paltim or on the banks of the Bega river.
