Timisoara was and is a very dynamic environment. There has always been a kind of ambition, competition between artists. At some point in the 60s, a generation of artists came to study in various centres in the country, Bucharest and Cluj, willing to experiment. They were closer to the West, to Central Europe, to what was happening there, and I think that was a beneficial dynamic. And in the 1990s, of course, things exploded and continued in this direction and brought Timisoara into an area of interest. This year is an extraordinary year, very dynamic, unexpectedly good! I look at all these projects: art, theatre, literature, from this year and I find it extraordinary. It's something I've been waiting for for a long time. Timisoara deserves this title, I think.
